In 2003 and 2004 our southern California office identified bark beetle infested dead, dying and diseased trees within Southern California Edison (SCE) Service areas in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties and assisted SCE with field verification of trees removed by homeowners through the SCE customer reimbursement program. In 2005 and 2006, as Fuel Reduction Management Contractor, ERS provides assistance to the County of San Diego in the management of the County¡¯s wildland fuel reduction projects, including assuring that vegetation removal contractors comply with all requirements of their contracts and assists the County in submitting, collecting and defending claims against the grants. ERS assists the County in preparation of a Scope of Work for one or more contractors to: remove dead, dying and diseased trees and other vegetation from private property, County parks and roadways. This management includes on-going inspection and oversight of all field work associated with this project to ensure that it is carried out in an appropriate manner. ERS is responsible for administrative requirements associated with selecting and scheduling work sites and is responsible for record keeping activities sufficient for County and grant audits.
